Beschreibung

This route starts at Bad Ragaz train station.  The route is simple, as the whole route leads along the signposted SwitzerlandMobile Route "474 Pizol Pardiel Bike". The route leads over a road with very little traffic, partly gravelled and partly paved. First past the ruins of Freudenberg Castle, one of the largest castle complexes in Sarganserland, then to Schwammboden and finally up to Pardiel.

The panorama restaurant Edelweiss invites you to enjoy fine Swiss specialties with a beautiful sun terrace and a unique view of the Rhine Valley and the Rätikon, a mountain range of the Eastern Alps.

The descent can again be made via the ascent path. Or alternatively, you can continue along Route 474 along a simple but stony forest and forest path to Wildboden and from there along a forest path back to the spa town of Bad Ragaz.

Take part in the E-Bike Pickling Trophy: collect 12 stamps and receive a pleasure greeting at the end of the season.

Sicherheitshinweis

The descent from Pardiel in the direction of Wildboden is on a forest path or on an unpaved road. If in doubt, take the ascent path rather than the descent.

Ausrüstung

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a longer climb is followed by an equally long descent.

From Zurich or St. Gallen you can reach the spa town of Bad Ragaz in about an hour by train.

Anreise Information

Take the Bad Ragaz exit from the motorway and follow the road signs to Bad Ragaz.

Parken

Parking spaces can be found in the Tamina Therme, where the e-bike station Bad Ragaz is also located. (chargeable)
