Eröffnungskonzert - Meilensteine

The first four notes are probably the most famous in the entire history of music. Whether Ludwig van Beethoven really wanted fate to knock at the door at the beginning of his 5th Symphony with the famous "Ta-ta-ta-taaa", as handed down by his secretary, remains open. In any case, the composer succeeded in creating a highly dramatic masterpiece with his so-called "Schickalssinfonie", which immediately draws the listener into the middle of the action and leads into the radiant light at the very end. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466, is also a milestone in music history with its emotionality and personal tone. The young Austrian pianist Lukas Sternath, 1st prize winner of the renowned ARD Music Competition, will immerse himself in these strong emotional worlds together with the Camerata Salzburg under Antonello Manacorda, after the audience has already embarked on an exciting musical journey with Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's concert overture "Meeresstille und Glückliche Fahrt".
