Klassik Festival Arosa - Il bacio di tosca

With "Il bacio di tosca," Swiss director Daniel Schmid created a touching documentary about a nursing home in Milan in 1984. Today, the "casa di riposo," which was founded by Giuseppe Verdi in 1896, still lies at Piazza Buonarotti in Milan. It provides accommodation for musicians, opera singers, and singers… people for whom a great career never happened – and others, successful ones, whose dream earnings have long been spent. Today, they all live forgotten in a small room with a suitcase full of memories.
