The village fountain is a meeting place. In earlier times, people met there to fetch water and do laundry. The fountain was therefore always a place where people told each other what was new and a place where individuals could get rid of their thoughts.
The village fountain is therefore a place of history and stories. The fountain "listened to these stories" and "kept them within itself". Today, anyone can take these stories from the fountain and "fish them out" at the historical fountain.

The "Story Fountain" event appeals to people's play instinct and curiosity. Fishing games are well-known and still popular. The "story boxes" are colour-coded for children or adults. The event is intended to support the (re)vitalisation of the village squares. It invites you to pause for a moment, perhaps to refresh yourself after a hike not only by the water itself, but also by the thoughts in the texts.
