Tematizzare la Valle. Riflessioni sulle forme di vita in Valposchiavo

For fall 2026, Pgi Valposchiavo is presenting a series of public events titled “Exploring the Valley: Reflections on Ways of Life in Valposchiavo.” The series will consist of four events, scheduled for Saturday, October 24 (Poschiavo Casa Torre), Saturday, October 31 (Brusio, Casa Besta), Saturday, November 7 (Poschiavo, Deposito Ferrovia), and Saturday, November 14, 2026 (Poschiavo, Casa Torre), and will be led by Patrick A. Huhn.

During the sessions—which will also feature guests and speakers from various fields—the focus will be on issues closely tied to valley life: what it means today to live in an Alpine region; how work and forms of production are changing; how a community constructs its own narrative and balances the relationship between rootedness and openness, between tradition and renewal, and between vision and public life. The project builds on the recognition expressed by the 2025 Wakker Prize, awarded to the Municipality of Poschiavo, which identified the area as a model capable of combining quality development, local autonomy, sustainability, and collective commitment.
