Beschreibung

The second stage of the Prättigauer Höhenweg ending at Carschinahütte starts in St. Antönien, a traditionally preserved Walser village and the first mountain hiking village in Switzerland. The first path goes from St. Antönien to Partnun, with the first stop at the Partnunsee. From there, the trail ascends briefly a bit steeper. At the foot of the Sulzfluh, the first climbers can already be seen on the rock walls. After about 3:05 hours of walking, a fine meal with regional specialties and a warm bed await at the Carschinahütte.

Sicherheitshinweis

The path is classified as T2 (mountain hiking) according to the SAC hiking scale. Definition path/terrain: path with continuous route and balanced slopes. If marked: white-red-white. Terrain partly steep, risk of falling not excluded. Definition requirement: some sure-footedness. Trekking shoes are recommended. Basic orientation skills.

Attention dog owners:
As often seen in Graubünden, there are also several alpine pastures protected by livestock guardian dogs in the Rätikon area. Please observe the official recommendations and the zones.

Ausrüstung

Good footwear, mountain hiking clothing adapted to the season (don't forget spare underwear to change!) as well as a map in the backpack are also recommended, as well as headwear, sunglasses and sunscreen, drinking bottle, and hiking provisions. Trekking poles increase sure-footedness and relieve the joints.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to Landquart, then change to the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) towards Davos. Get off in Küblis. Then take the postal bus to St. Antönien.

From St. Antönien Rüti you can use the Alpine Post Bus.

Anreise Information

Via the A13 to Landquart, then continue on the national road A28 to Küblis. Shortly after entering the town, turn left and follow Luzeinerstrasse uphill to Luzein, Pany, St. Antönien.

Parken

All parking spaces in St. Antönien are subject to a fee. Payment at the parking lots is possible with cash, the Parkingpay app, or Twint. The last parking lot P6 with a day ticket is located below the Partnun sign, about 3.5 km outside of St. Antönien.
