Beschreibung

Well-developed and popular high route with constantly changing views into the Prättigau valley below. The path first leads gently past the Drei Türme and the mighty Drusenfluh. Then the long-distance trail descends slightly to the Schweizertor. Along the Kirchlispitzen, the path climbs again. At the Cavelljoch you stand directly at the Austrian border and enjoy a beautiful view of the Lünersee. The end of this stage descends over meadows to the Schesaplanahütte SAC.

Sicherheitshinweis

The path is classified as T2 (mountain hiking) according to the SAC hiking scale. Definition of path/terrain: path with continuous track and moderate slopes. If marked, white-red-white. Terrain partially steep, risk of falling not excluded. Requirement definition: some sure-footedness. Trekking shoes are recommended. Basic orientation skills.

Attention dog owners:
As often seen in Graubünden, there are several alpine pastures in the Rätikon protected by livestock guardian dogs. Please observe the official recommendations and zones. More information can be found here.

Ausrüstung

Good footwear, mountain hiking clothing appropriate for the season (don't forget spare clothes to change!), and a map in the backpack are highly recommended, as well as headgear, sunglasses and sunscreen, a water bottle, and hiking provisions. Trekking poles increase sure-footedness and relieve the joints.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to Landquart, then transfer to the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) towards Davos. Get off in Küblis. Then take the post bus to St. Antönien Rüti.

From St. Antönien Rüti, you can use the alpine post bus to Partnun.
