Beschreibung

The stage starts at the foot of the highest mountain in the Rätikon, the Schesaplana. After a short section on the alpine road, a hiking trail follows which passes the Alpmuseum Fasons. Let yourself be briefly inspired by this museum. Then you hike on a varied path to Alp Stürvis and further on to Cani. There you reach the alpine path which leads to Seewis Dorf. In Seewis, great restaurants await where you can toast the Prättigauer Höhenweg. You will also find good public transport connections.

The official route continues over the Fadärastein, the steep winding path down to picturesque Malans in the Bündner Herrschaft to Landquart.

Book the Prättigauer Höhenweg including overnight stay online in just a few clicks!

Geheimtipp

Rent a scooter at the Schesaplanahütte and enjoy the 1,000 meters descent down to Seewis Dorf with a thrilling ride.

Sicherheitshinweis

The path is classified as T2 (mountain hiking) according to the SAC hiking scale. Definition path / terrain:  path with continuous route and balanced slopes. If marked: white-red-white. Terrain partly steep, risk of falling not excluded. Definition requirements: some surefootedness. Trekking shoes recommended. Basic orientation skills.

Attention dog owners:
As often seen in Graubünden, there are also several alpine pastures in the Rätikon protected by livestock guarding dogs. Please observe the official recommendations and the zones.

Ausrüstung

Good footwear, mountain hiking clothes adapted to the season (don't forget spare underwear for changing!) and a map in your backpack are just as recommended as headwear, sunglasses and sunscreen, drinking bottle, and tour provisions. Hiking poles increase surefootedness and relieve the joints.
