In 1910, the end of the Lüschersee at Heinzenberg was sealed. The lake basin was drained. The end of the Lüschersee is, however, only part of the fascinating history of the landslides at Heinzenberg.

Beschreibung

Large-scale forest clearings and a destructive torrent caused landslides. Only an extensive major project with elaborate countermeasures and partly massive interventions in nature and landscape provided relief.
All this and much more is told by the Heinzenberg adventure trail. At more than a dozen info points, both young and old are given exciting background knowledge.
At the access portals Glaspass and Obergmeind, the free hiking guide with many additional information can be obtained free of charge. Near the Lüschersee, there is a well-equipped barbecue area with firewood available.

Glaspass is accessible by public transport (PostBus line no. 90.531, Thusis - Glaspass). For more information on the timetable, please consult the SBB website: www.sbb.ch. 

Anreise Information

Take exit 21-Thusis-Nord on the A13 towards Thusis-Nord/Fürstenau/Cazis. Then follow Heinzenbergstrasse to the Glaspass parking lot.
