The Fondei is a high valley in the remotest part of Schanfigg, lying at 1700 to 2000 meters above sea level. Today, the untouched nature and traditional Walser houses impress in this idyllic side valley. But who were the Walsers – and what story lies behind the Walser route?
Around the year 1300, the first Walsers found their way to the Fondei. On this themed route, you embark on a time travel and experience the history of the Walsers interactively. With puzzles, texts, audio recordings, and impressive pictures, you learn via the app what all happened on this path many years ago – and the story the postman has to tell you.
Don't forget to enjoy nature besides the exciting info on the app. The route is very scenic and promises unique flora and fauna.

Keep your eyes open – in Fondei, you might be lucky enough to spot ibexes!

Anfahrt
Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
Take the Rhaetian Railway to Langwies station. The Rhaetian Railway runs hourly from Chur to Arosa (also in the opposite direction). The exact start of the hike and the signage can be found via the "Actionbound" app.
Anreise Information
Langwies is easily accessible by a normal car via the winding Arosa road from Arosa or from Chur.

Parking is limited in Langwies.
