Alp-Flix-Schneeschuhtrail

The trail start point is the small village Sur on the Julier Pass road. From the parking lot at the church, head out with snowshoes towards Plang Grond.

The first part of the ascent to the permanently inhabited Alp Flix is on the road, which in winter may only be used on foot, by snowtoffs, or sledders. Above the larch forest, turn right and walk through a magical winter landscape to the Son Roc chapel and from there to the huts of Tigias, where the Piz Platta mountain lodge is located.

From Tigia, the snowshoe hike leads almost level to the next hamlet of Tgalucas. The route continues to Courts, where the descent towards Sur begins. Part of the route runs directly along the mountain stream to the bridge at point 1779. Here you change the side of the stream and continue trekking downhill to the starting point Sur.

At Alp Flix, you will find peace and seclusion.
