Alp Grüm is located at 2,091 m above sea level on the edge of the first slope of the Valposchiavo. From here you can enjoy an unmistakable view over the whole Valposchiavo, which extends to Italy. In 1910, the Bernina Line of the Rhaetian Railway was built here. The pretty station building, made of quarry stones, is both a restaurant and a hotel and was opened in 1926.
Beschreibung
Alp Grüm is not connected to the road network, but can be reached by train all year round. Otherwise, the village can be reached on foot or by bike. When you arrive on Alp Grüm after a panoramic train ride on the Rhaetian Railway (UNESCO World Heritage Site) or a scenic hike or bike tour, you can be overwhelmed by the grace of the Bernina massif, the eternal ice of the Palügletscher and the small, heart-shaped Lagh da Palü.
