Beschreibung

On the last day of the Kesch Trek, a particularly beautiful place awaits you. Shortly before Preda lies the Lai da Palpuogna, which was named the "most beautiful spot in Switzerland" in a survey by Swiss television. It is often described as the "blue eye of the landscape," and indeed the Palpuogna lake shimmers in various shades of blue. In autumn the contrast to the yellow larches is especially beautiful. Let yourself be enchanted by the surroundings and treat yourself to a break at the barbecue sites around the lake.


Are you staying at the Hotel Kulm Preda? Then Preda is already your destination for the day. For everyone else, it continues on to Bergün.

On the railway adventure trail you will find information boards about the Albula line, which was built over 100 years ago and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008. 

Sicherheitshinweis

The Kesch Trek is an alpine mountain hike. The possible dangers in the high mountains must be properly assessed. The hiking stages require good physical condition.


Each October and from the end of April to the end of May, the Swiss army conducts shooting exercises in the S-chanf area. Therefore, the area between S-chanf and the Dürrboden mountain inn is closed during this time in the Scaletta and Grialetsch area (danger to life). 

Ausrüstung

Sturdy mountain boots, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain protection, provisions for the hiking stages (lunch packs can also be obtained in the huts), enough water, sun and head protection, a first aid kit, map material for orientation and possible hiking poles.
