Beschreibung

This trail is 100% on natural paths. In Welschtobel you have the feeling of running in Alaska or Canada. The Furcletta and Culmet crossings are steep and demanding. At Alp Sanaspans it is worth taking a break before ascending via Scharmoin to Urdenfürgli. Then follows a short descent to the legendary Urdensee. One last ascent to the Hörnli Hut before the final descent back to the base station Hörnliexpress.

Geheimtipp

Alp Sanaspans and Hörnli Hut are ideal places for a refreshment. Both are public restaurants.

Sicherheitshinweis

Good surefootedness and running experience in alpine terrain are essential for this route. Especially at the Furcletta and Culmet crossings.

Ausrüstung

Trail running shoes, running clothing, trail running vest and wind protection are recommended.

Anreise Information

From Chur you go over the Schanfiggerstrasse to Arosa. Once in Arosa you drive through the village until you reach the Hörnli Express base station. There you will find paid parking spaces.
