The starting point of this variant is the train station. On foot you can reach Maran via the Eichhörnliweg. A narrow hiking trail leads to Prätschalp. Enjoy the magnificent view as far as Ochsenalp on the way over the Rot Tritt. After a refreshment in the mountain restaurant, the tour continues via Scheidegg to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car. On this section, it is worth taking a detour to the Hauptichopf. Over green meadows it goes down to Prätschli. If you don't want to walk down the last stretch, you can also take the local bus back to the village from here.

For the way back from Ochsenalp to Arosa, scooters can be rented. You are sure to convince your children (from 8 years / 140cm) for a hike to Ochsenalp.

Sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing are recommended.
Wegbeschreibung
From the train station, you can take the Eichhörnliweg or take the local bus up to Maran. A hiking trail continues over Prätschalp and Rot Tritt to Ochsenalp. From there, the tour goes back down via Scheidegg to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car and on to Prätschli. On foot or by bus we go back to the village.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway runs every hour to Arosa and back. If you want to start the tour directly in Maran or end it in Prätschli, use the local bus on this section of the route.
Anreise Information
From Chur, follow the traffic signs to Arosa. To get to Maran, turn right at the beginning of the village, at the top of the gas station and follow the road for about 1km.
Parken
Since there are only a limited number of parking spaces available in Maran, it is recommended to park in the Ochsenbühl car park. This is located on the left-hand side after the Sports and Congress Centre and is also in the immediate vicinity of a bus stop.
