Art tours at the Hotel Castell Winter

Art is an integrated, lively and meaningful element at the Castell. The building itself is a small, large work of art. And it offers the ideal home for Ruedi Bechtler's large art collection. In the corridors, the rooms, the rooms: art is everywhere. Hotel owner Ruedi Bechtler personally selected each individual work of art and often staged it in close cooperation with the artists. Many of the works were even created in or especially for the Castell. The collection, with its contemporary works of media art, sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, video and photography, has a significant impact on the unmistakable ambience of the Castell. The lover, profound connoisseur and enthusiastic collector of contemporary art has thus made the Castell a unique place of inspiration. Works are regularly changed or rehung. A recurring stay or short visit is therefore worthwhile in any case.

Every Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m., hotel director Matthias Wettstein leads a guided tour of the house and collection on an art tour.
