Backpack Wine Tasting in the Bündner Herrschaft

The hike starts in Maienfeld at Stall 247, where we receive a backpack with three selected wines from the Bündner Herrschaft. From there, the route leads through the idyllic vineyards to Fläsch. On the way back, we return to the starting point by a different route. Numerous benches invite you to linger and taste along the way. With the audio guide, we also gain fascinating insights into the wine region, viticulture, and the work of the winemakers. A fascinating combination of pleasure and wine knowledge awaits us on this unique circular hike.

Along the way, you will find a converted wine barrel containing a small library. A brief stop is worthwhile.

The hike begins at the restaurant Stall 247, where we receive the backpack with the wines. We follow Spitalgasse about 50 meters to the junction, where we then turn left into Heidelberggässli. We follow Heidelberggässli up to the sign where the Maienfeld - Fläsch wine route is marked, and follow it to the end. We cross Steigstrasse and already see the Heidi fountain. Here we can enjoy the first wine on the numerous benches. We continue our hike on the path towards Fläsch until we reach the stream. Along the way there are more benches perfect for the second bottle of wine. We follow the stream down to the main road that leads from Fläsch to Maienfeld. We walk about 50 meters along the roadside towards Maienfeld and then turn left onto the footpath. We follow this for about 900 meters, past the Davaz winery. Immediately afterwards, the path leads left up to the forest edge. We continue along this path, make another stop for a final wine tasting, until we finally arrive back at the restaurant Stall 247 in Maienfeld and return the backpack.
