Bergkirchli-Konzert mit P. und B. Collenberg

We are playing two 7-movement suites by Bernard Andrès. One is called "Algues," and the other is "Chants d’arrière-saison." In addition, we will also present Paul Reade's Suite from Victorian Kitchen Garden. While in Bernard Andrès'"Algues," the plant-like creatures move with the waves in the mind's eye, are shaken up, or shine in colorful hues in the sun, the plants in Paul Reade's "Suite from Victorian Kitchen Garden" become more tangible. The music, which originally accompanied the eponymous TV series on its excursions through English parks and gardens, makes the various moments of a gardening year audible. Whether it’s glimpses into the orangery with its exotic plants or the joyful moments of the harvest season. Significantly more contemplative is Bernard Andrès' seven-movement suite "Chants d’arrière Saison." The autumn reflection seems shaped by the anticipated winter, which with its blanket of snow temporarily covers garden joys but also garden work.
