Beschreibung

From the bus stop in the middle of the small mountain village of S-charl (at 1,800 m above sea level.M.), the path leads in an easterly direction. The signposts point towards Tamangur. At the beginning, the road is still wide and the path runs along the river «La Clemgia», up to a cattle grid. Immediately after this grid turn left onto a hiking trail, the signpost points towards Tablasot. From here the path begins to climb. It leads through a beautiful forest with many Swiss stone pines up to a beautiful clearing where a small old hut stands. The highlight of the hike has now been reached here. Further, the forest clearing is crossed to find the forest path to the other side. The white-red markings can always be seen on tree trunks or stones. If you follow them correctly, you will come back down to the road that leads to Tamangur, this place is called "Plan d'immez". Follow the road towards S-charl for about 300 meters until you reach a small bridge. A hiking trail begins again on the other side of the river. The so-called Mühlweg goes back to S-charl.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

  • By Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadine) every hour to Scuol-Tarasp station
  • By PostBus (from Martina, Sent, Ftan or Tarasp) every hour to Scuol-Tarasp train station
  • Continue with the PostBus with hourly connection to the PostBus stop S-charl

Anreise Information

  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or over the Flüela Pass to Scuol and then into a side valley of the Lower Engadine. The summer village of S-charl can be reached from Scuol in about 25 minutes.
  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of Scuol and then also turn into the side valley Val S-charl.

Due to the sometimes narrow road conditions, we recommend arriving by Postbus.
