Beschreibung

The “Biala vesta” tour starts with a highlight: right after the Brigels cable car parking lot, you ride along the idyllic Lake Brigels. Depending on the weather and time of year, the water is a beautiful turquoise or deep blue. The route continues across alpine meadows in the direction of Waltensburg to the Curtginet valley station. Cycle along the main road to the upper village of Waltensburg, where you turn right again towards Brigels. You will soon reach two further highlights of this easy gravel tour: the Uaul Pign fireplace and the Grotta cave castle (Kropfenstein-Casti Grotta). A short detour on foot is definitely worthwhile. Watch out for the signposts. Cycle slightly uphill on the partly rough natural road to the Crest la Crusch viewpoint. The Escher stone stands in the center of the small platform. It commemorates the builders and completion of the connecting road from Waltensburg to Brigels, which was completed in 1870. From here you can also see the whole of the Surselva. From Ilanz to Disentis.

Geheimtipp

The Kropfenstein-Casti Grotta castle is well worth a visit. It is built into overhanging rock faces.

Sicherheitshinweis

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
