On this route, you hike on former ocean floor. This is evidenced by various fossils discovered. The highlight of the route is the rock gate in Val d'Agnel.

Beschreibung
The start of the route is at the Julier Hospice at the Julier Pass. From there, you hike towards Fuorcla digl Leget. After the ascent to Fuorcla, on the right side is the rock gate. A detour is definitely worth it! The highest point of the hike has been reached and now it goes gently downhill. The descent from Kanonensattel to Alp Flix is steeper than the rest of the route. At Alp Flix, a raised bog of national importance, various places to eat and the mountain lakes Lais Blos and Lai Neir await you. Those who want to picnic themselves can use the barbecue areas and tables near the lakes. For the return journey, you hike from Alp Flix towards Sur or take the alpine bus.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
By post bus to the Julier, La Veduta post bus stop. From Alp Flix back with the alpine bus from Tgalucas to Sur, Plazza dalla Posta, and from there further by post bus again.

Parking is available below the Julier Hospice.
