From the Segneshütte there is a gigantic view of the glacier landscape of the lower Segnesboden. You can clearly see the large alluvial plain. Such a pattern is created when meltwater streams make their way through the rock material piled up by the former glacier and then form a kind of braid pattern.

The size of the alluvial plain makes it easy to estimate the extensive extent of the former glacier.
