Beschreibung

The aerial tramway starts near Chur's old town in the direction of Brambrüesch. Even during the short drive high above the oldest city in Switzerland, the view over the rooftops of Chur and the surrounding mountains opens up.

Once at the top of the gently rolling plateau, the path leads over idyllic alpine landscapes with a view of the mountains around Arosa, the Schanfigg and Lenzerheide. A varied section through the forest takes hikers to the clearing near Spundis, where the view opens up - now the horizon dominates with the striking Tödi. On the further ascent, the mighty Calanda massif and the Ringelspitz dominate the panorama.

Soon the next stage destination is reached: the Hühnerköpfe at the Furggabüel chairlift. Below the cable car we continue towards the summit. At the centre of the tour is the historic Dreibündenstein, the former border point of the three Rhaetian leagues. An impressive 360-degree panorama awaits you here: Heinzenberg, Safiental, Vorder- and Hinterrheintal, Vorab, Falknis, the Rätikon and the mountain ranges around Arosa, Lenzerheide and Davos. At the highest point, the Furggabüel (2174 m above sea level), a panorama board provides information about the surrounding peaks and the clearly visible formations of the Sardona Tectonic Arena (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The snowshoe tour can be started in Brambrüesch as well as in Pradaschier. If you want, you can round off the experience with a rapid descent: In Pradaschier, the longest toboggan run in Switzerland provides thrills, while in Brambrüesch rental toboggans are available for the descent to the Känzeli middle station.

Sicherheitshinweis

Be aware of avalanche danger
  • Only walk secured or officially marked snowshoe trails if you have no avalanche training
  • Keep your distance on steep slopes, avoid danger spots (gullies, hollows, cornices)
  • If conditions are unsafe, cancel the tour
