Calfeisental, the secluded

The excursion at the back of the Calfeisental offers a variety of experiences on a cul-de-sac with the same round trip. There are flat, steep, tarred, gravelled and challenging sections of the route in front of, next to and behind the Gigerwald reservoir in the middle of barren mountain massifs. The Walser settlement of St.Martin transports us to the time of our ancestors. If you want to go even further up on the Alpboden at the end of the road at Alp Sardona, we recommend a climb on foot to the Sardona hut SAC. On 2.5 km, an altitude of 420 m must be overcome so that at the finish at 2158 m above.M sea level the seclusion can be enjoyed at the back of the valley basin.
Then you take the same path to get back to Vättis.
