During the night of 7 to 8 August 1978, a cloudburst that affected the entire region caused flooding of the Moesa River and caused severe damage to the Cebbia area. One year after the flood, which severely affected the area, only the church tower and some remains of the wall remain. In April 2006, the renovation work was completed, during which the painted sundial on the bell tower, which had already been damaged in the 1960s, was restored.
