Casa a Marca, camera Carlo Borromeo

The a Marca family, which was already mentioned in documents in the second half of the 14th century, invited the Archbishop of Milan, Carlo Borromeo, to visit the Mesolcina and Calanca 428 years ago. The visit of this religious figure has marked the intellectual and cultural history of the Moesano. In the villages of the Mesolcina there are still many traces of the passage of Caro Borromeo: churches, chapels, works of art, altars and places named after him.
