Castaneda

Castaneda has ancient origins; The traces of the necropolis date back more than 5000 years. Walking along the Historic Path from Grono – passing by the Capela del Pciüti – or taking the "Menö Trail", you reach the mills of Pisela. Continuing, you arrive at the Mola forest and then reach Sta Maria iC, from which you proceed towards the Capela de Bolada (at an altitude of 1674 meters). The numerous terraces, the complex of the Mills, the new chestnut forest in the countryside and the roads that connect the village to Verdabbio characterize a landscape to be discovered.
