Chapel Disentis Sedrun
Chapel of St. Michael, Campieschas

Beschreibung
The north facade of the chapel is adorned with colorful frescoes. Among the benefactors of this small place of worship was Landammann Adalbert Maissen, who donated the altarpiece with a personal dedication. The chapel was restored in 1968. The two bells were stolen in 2010, and a fundraising campaign was launched to replace them. The campaign was so successful that there was enough to also carry out an exterior renovation. The roof was re-covered with shingles, and the facade and frescoes were restored.
The single-room chapel with a barrel vault is 4.7 meters long and 3.25 meters wide, facing south. The chapel features an open bell tower with an octagonal spire. The altarpiece depicts the Holy Family with St. Michael. Additional paintings portray St. Michael and St. Fidelis.
