The chapel is one of the oldest places of worship in the valley. It first appears in documents in the Carolingian Urbarium of around 840, and in the indulgence letter of 1345 it, and not St. Stephen's, is mentioned as a branch. A new building was erected and consecrated on the old site in 1716.Building description: East-facing, baroque structure consisting of a two-bay nave and a choir closed on three sides, both vaulted with barrels. Gabled roof.The tower: With a slender pointed spire without lashings. It stands on the north side of the chancel.Furnishings: The wooden altar dates from 1717 and the altarpiece depicts St. Mauritius on horseback, 1610.Worship objects: A silver chalice from the 17th century.Bells: With inscriptions from 1782.
