Chur - Feldis

This road bike tour starts directly at Chur train station and leads out of the city via quiet side streets. At first, you roll in easily - along the Rhine through the villages of Felsberg, Tamins, Reichenau, Bonaduz and Rhäzüns. Once you arrive in Domleschg, you cross the Rhine again - here still as Hinterrhein - and drive past Ortenstein Castle to Rothenbrunnen.

Over almost 9 kilometers, you collect around 700 meters of altitude - the gradient is constant, but demanding. The effort is worth it: During the ascent, an impressive panorama opens up over the Domleschg. Once at the top, Feldis, one of the most beautiful mountain villages in Graubünden, awaits you - ideal for a break in one of the cosy restaurants.

Since there is no asphalt descent back to the valley from Feldis, the return journey is on the same route to Rothenbrunnen. The detour is still worth it - the road is little used and a real scenic highlight.

Refreshment tip: A visit to the "Feldiserhof" restaurant is worthwhile not only because of the beautiful panoramic terrace. Here you can fortify yourself before returning to the valley on the same path.
