The panoramic circular hike takes you from Giraniga up into a hiking paradise. The Huot area opens up a magnificent panorama over the Surselva. The varied hike continues past the Walserstall and then back to the starting point.

Beschreibung

The ascent at the start of the tour is amply rewarded. At Huot, the view sweeps across the vastness of the Surselva. This is where people used to “stand on the Huot to spot the enemy or fire at an early stage. Today it is a peaceful vantage point and well worth a long rest.

The hike continues past the Walser stable. This barn houses an interesting collection of various objects and equipment used in local agriculture in the past.

The tour runs along well-maintained hiking trails or enjoyable side roads and is therefore easy to walk. However, there are a few meters in altitude that have to be mastered.

Geheimtipp

In addition to the view of the panoramic landscape, it is also worth taking a look into the past. Visit the Walser stable and discover the agriculture of the past.

Behind Huot, there is an old lime kiln on the edge of the path. This is free to visit.

Sicherheitshinweis

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
