Beschreibung

From the starting point Meierhof valley station, the winter hiking trail leads via Miraniga to Misanengia. Then follows the ascent to Cuolm Sura and subsequently the descent with panoramic views to Surcuolm. In Surcuolm follow the path via Platenga and Cresta to Affeier and reach Meierhof directly via Chummenbühl.

In uncertain weather conditions the route should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a snow front or similar approaches during the hike, you should turn back in good time.

Two mines were once operated in the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun. The silver mines of Affeier and the ironworks in the Platenga-Tobel, whose 240 m long tunnel system is now open to tourists. Surselva Tourism Info Obersaxen organises guided tours to the show mine during the summer.
