Cottage hike Sardonahütte

The two-day hut hike starts at the Gigerwald bus stop, dam. After a short walk along the Gigerwaldsee, you will reach the former Walser village of Sankt Martin. At the beginning, the hike runs along the Tamina River. After a while, you will pass by the Sardona Alp, which has a small menu during the alpine season. Continue to the Sardona hut, which is located just below the Sardona glacier. It will serve as your accommodation until you start the second stage of the hike the next day.

On the second day, unique rock formations of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona await you. The hike leads past the Plattensee and Heitelsee, which are ideal for a breather. The ridges and mountain peaks on your way down to Saint Martin are ibex territory. But even if you don't get to see an ibex, the hike with the mountain scenery from Ringelspitz, Sardona to Gigerwaldspitz is a real eye-catcher.
