Steep and beautiful: From Disentis Monastery via Caischavedra to Bostg (Piz Plaun Grond)
Details
Beschreibung
The trail run over the rooftops of Disentis starts at the parking lot of Disentis Monastery and initially leads a few meters downhill, before we quickly gain altitude on the avalanche dam at Rein da Val Sogn Placi and run mostly gently ascending through the forest above Disentis towards Val Clavaniev and Val Acletta. Here begins the actual, steep but beautiful forest ascent to Caischavedra. Even before reaching the mountain station, a rest on the benches at Stavel is recommended. Passing the mountain station Caischavedra, we run around Val Segnas without major altitude gains or losses and after the last altitude meters to Bostg. Downhill, we choose a varied route to Mompé Tujetsch. Then the path leads us back to the monastery with a view of Disentis.
Variant 1: From Bostg further west over the hill towards Bugnei and back to Disentis on hiking trail no. 85
Variant 2: Shortcuts as desired using the cable car or the Matterhorn Gotthard railway
Geheimtipp
During the operating hours of the mountain railway, a stopover is recommended at the mountain restaurant on the panoramic terrace – and in late summer, definitely plan time for blueberry picking...
Sicherheitshinweis
Along the way, there are fountains to fill your water bottle
