There are six fountains in Tschlin, which were restored about a decade ago. These fountains have a long history.
Beschreibung
The larger part of the well always served as a drinking source for the cattle, while the smaller area was used for washing purposes. Each fountain had its own well master, who was responsible for its maintenance and smooth operation. It was their job to water the cattle at the same time in the morning and evening. Washing was only allowed in the small section; those who did so for the most part had to pay a fine. The wells played a crucial role, and it wasn't until the 1970s that self-watering was introduced in the stables.

From the south: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
Tschlin can be reached in ten minutes by car from the Engadinerstrasse H27 near Strada.
