Beschreibung

The start is in Unterterzen. The first altitude meters are overcome effortlessly with the "Bergjet" cable car. Arrived at Tannenboden, you get on the bike immediately. The first stage goal can be the Prodalp mountain inn. This is perfect for a short break. Refreshed, you continue through beautiful nature towards Alp Fursch. The rustic alpine hut invites you to linger. Here you can take a break from everyday life. Then continues the descent through the beautiful Schilstal. The path through the forest must be taken with caution. After the short adrenaline rush, it goes comfortably towards Flums. At Flums, the path leads along the Seez river to Walenstadt. There, the lake promenade is perfect for a last break. With a jump into Lake Walen or a nice ice cream, you can cool off ideally. Refreshed and lively, it goes back along the lake to Unterterzen.

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is advantageous, as a long ascent is followed by an equally long descent.

Wegbeschreibung

Start at Unterterzen train station and use the Seejet cable car to get to Flumserberg. Once you arrive at Tannenbodenalp, the route begins with the destination of Alp Fursch. Turn right from Tannenbodenalpstrasse and ride to the Prodalp mountain inn. From there, follow the signs of mountain bike route 478 Alp Fursch Bike on the gravel road to Alp Fursch. Once at the alp, the descent begins. Be careful, the descent through the Fursch forest into the Schilstal should not be underestimated. Many loose stones make the descent challenging. Now a pleasant stretch awaits through the spectacular Schilstal. Just before Bildbrugg, turn right and switch to the right valley side, where another easy singletrail awaits. Ride from Flumserberg Portels over the Pravizin power plant on a great intermediate singletrail to Flums. Once back in the valley, follow route 478 Alp Fursch Bike again. From Flums train station, follow the Lake Route 9 towards Walenstadt. At the ARA, go straight on the shortcut to Walenstadt. After a detour along the lake promenade in Walenstadt, follow Lake Route 9 along Lake Walen back to Unterterzen train station.

Unterterzen is about a one-hour drive from St. Gallen and Zurich and 45 minutes from Feldkirch. Use the Murg or Flums highway exit and follow the signs.
