Beschreibung
Starting from Walenstadt train station, you cycle through the town and then on the very spacious cycle path via Tscherlach to Berschis. In the village centre, the path forks and follows the signpost to Kurhaus Sennis. From here the steady ascent begins on a solid, small mountain road. After just a few hundred metres, you catch a glimpse of St. George's Chapel on the right, a true monument of art.
After 14 bends, you have left the steepest section of the path behind you. There are still about 100 meters of altitude missing, which meander along the rock in a very pleasant incline towards the day's destination.
At the Hotel Kurhaus Sennis, you will find refreshments and refreshments, as well as peace, relaxation and new energy. Keep an eye out for golden eagles, ibex and chamois.
The way back is via the same path downhill in the direction of Walenstadt and the deep blue Walensee.
