Exhibition: "War and Resurrection" in Tenna

The large glass window mosaic of 40 m2, as the central and connecting element in the stairwell of the "Alte Sennerei", extends over four
It reflects and refracts daylight and artificial light – an essential part of the total work of art "Alte Sennerei" in Tenna. The glass window mosaic (2021) represents the closeness and warmth in the shared apartment.

On the ground floor, the Tenna Hospice association shows the creation of the stained glass window mosaic on the basis of original design sketches.

In addition, the exhibition on the first floor shows and describes the relationship of the stained glass window mosaic to the Isenheim Altarpiece (1512 - 16). The altarpiece, which depicts the resurrection, is "soul-related" to the mosaic picture in its composition and colour effect. On the same floor, the exhibition shows works on the motif of "resurrection", related to the altarpiece, or rather to the work of Grünewald. All exhibited works always have a connection to the residents of the Tenna Hospice. This is also the case with the panes of the glass artist Gian Casty (1914 - 1979).

On the third floor, works by Gian and Erica (1) Pedretti are exhibited – to close the circle between the glass window mosaic and the senior citizens' shared apartment for the last phase of their lives. (1) died on 14.7.2022 in the Tenna Hospice.
