Exploratour 02: Bruchstücke der Vergangenheit

In the so-called breccias, many angular fragments are stored in fine sediments – like apple pieces in cake dough. The angular shape indicates that the debris was not transported by water. They probably come from today's Piz Bardella and were smashed when a trench formed in the continent 180 million years ago.
