The Swiss forest is under greater pressure than ever before – this is shown by the Forest Report 2025 (SAEFL and WSL). Adaptation to climate change and effective wildlife management are key challenges to preserving the forest as a resilient and biodiverse ecosystem with its important services for us. The promotion of sustainable tree species, natural regeneration, reduction of game pressure and measures to promote biodiversity play a key role in this.

We bring a scientifically sound perspective to the often emotional discussion and address questions such as:



- How can the diverse functions of the forest be secured in the long term?

- What does a climate-resilient and species-rich forest look like in concrete terms?

- When, how and why is wildlife management necessary and promising?

- And what role can the wolf play in this?
