G & G History and Geology

Around 90 years ago, a funicular railway and a ski jumping hill changed Lenzerheide sustainably and made Val Sporz a meeting point for ski-enthusiast guests and locals. This exciting story marks the beginning of our promising hike towards Spoina.

Along the way, we not only enjoy impressive views but also discover how the landscape was formed: Since when has the lake been down there? Why do Rothorn, Weisshorn, and Schwarzhorn shine in different colors? And which landslides have shaped the region?

Step by step, we alternate between G & G – history and geology. A hike for everyone who wants to enjoy the view and gain a better understanding of the mountain world.
