Gasthaus Rathaus

In 1481, the settler community built the community center in Safien Platz. It is the oldest known town hall of all Walser settlements. The building was used on feast days and for the meetings of the valley court. It was leased to a settler family, who undertook to follow a series of regulations regarding maintenance and heating, as well as to ensure a certain level of order during the course of the meetings.
