Gebiet Chrüzbachtobel

At Vättis, the crystalline rocks of the bedrock (Aarmassiv) were arched. In the area of the dome, glaciers and streams have created the valley, exposing the bedrock in a "geological window". Above the oldest rocks of the region follows a complete layer profile from the Triassic to the Tertiary period. At 2427 m above sea level is the Dragon Hole, where more than 53000-year-old cave bear bones and fire remains have been excavated.
