A glacier forefield is located between the glacier edge and moraines that show the highest level of the glacier. This very long hike takes you through partly barren landscapes near the now very small Glatscher da Gavirolas.

Beschreibung

From Andiast, the route heads towards Plaun da Tiarms, over the green Andiast Maiensässes and over Plaun da Lenna to Alp Sura. Now you leave the green meadows and climb higher into more barren mountain worlds and near steep rock walls.

The route then continues over Trutgs, Gavirolas to the stony ground Plaun da Cavals. The return route leads along the Via Suworow to the small mountain village of Pigniu. Then a run-out to Andiast remains.

The highlight of the extensive mountain hike is the glacier forefields of national importance.

Sicherheitshinweis

Due to the long route, precise time planning is urgently recommended.

In uncertain weather conditions, the route should not be undertaken. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar approaches during the hike, you should turn back in good time.

Ausrüstung

Good hiking shoes with a good profile, weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket), possibly spare clothes, first aid kit, drink, provisions, possibly hiking poles.
