Beschreibung

From Berghaus Arflina, the route leads northwest and passes a hollow at Caua. Continuing in the same direction, you ascend east of point 2153 (small lake) over the broad southeast ridge of Glattwang into the upper hollow below the summit slope. The last part leads over the south ridge to the summit of Glattwang (2376 m above sea level). Descent along the ascent route and, if conditions allow, down via Alp Nova to Fideris.


Attention! Below Alp Nova Untersäss is the Oberwald wildlife reserve - the route runs through a narrow corridor. Thank you for respecting nature!

Geheimtipp

Use the shuttle buses of the Fideriser Heuberge as an ascent aid. This way you have more time to enjoy the magnificent mountain world of the Fideriser Heuberge.

Full alpine ski tour in unsecured terrain. Complete safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel, avalanche probe, mobile phone) and knowledge of the correct handling are indispensable.

Wegbeschreibung

Fideriser Heuberge, Berghaus Arflina (2000 m above sea level) - Chopfstein - Caua - south ridge - Glattwang (2376 m above sea level). 


Descent: Glattwang - Alp Nova Obersäss - Untersäss - (narrow corridor through Oberwald wildlife reserve) - Valzigg - Versals (1309 m above sea level) - Plattis - forest road through the Rözenwald - Fideris (896 m above sea level). 

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

By train to Jenaz or Küblis (910 timetable), post bus to Fideris (90.221 timetable).

Anreise Information

Via the A13 and the A28 to Fideris.

Parken

Shortly after the village entrance, free parking spaces are available on the sawmill site (bus stop Fideriser Heuberge). Parking vehicles on the village square is not possible in winter.
