In the past, the Salecc area looked very different. Following the embankment of the Moesa, the reclamation of the agricultural area and the construction of hydroelectric power plants, the flooding dynamics of the area was interrupted, allowing resinous species not suitable for the station to take over the softwood trees typical of floodplain areas (willows, alders).
