Beschreibung

Very nice varied tour with very nice forest roads / Singe Trails on the left side of the valley towards Tirano/Veltlin. Beautiful mountain scenery and the special panoramic view from the very striking church on top of San Romerio on the Valposchiavo and the Lago di Poschiavo.

On the steep descent from Viano to Brusio it becomes aware of how many meters of altitude you have mastered. From Brusio to Miralago you drive about 0.5 km on the main road to Miralago from there the same route leads back to Poschiavo.

Option: Experienced gravel bikers can ride from Poschiavo via Cansumé on the Mountain Bike Trail 433 Gügliel, Motta, Scupetoir, Bosch Vegl to San Romreio.

Tip: Be sure to stop by Gino on the Alpe San Romerio and enjoy the lovely house specialties there.

The Devon House in Via dei Palazzi is the first stop on our tour. Built in 1863 according to the plans of the Italian architect Giovanni Sottovia (1827-1892) for Pietro Pozzi, an emigrant who became very wealthy as a confectioner in Porto, the house came into the possession of the Semadeni family in 1908, another emigrant family that ran a successful coffee house in Ilfracombe in the southwest English county of Devon.
