GTT Lukmanierpass - Cari 4. Etappe

Benvenuti in Ticino. We are now moving in the Italian-speaking world, through the stony Val Termine up to the Passo dell'uomo and around the Pizzo delle Colombe, which seems somehow out of place in its appearance. Its jagged peaks rise into the sky and its flanks shimmer bright orange or white. It is the dolomite that gives it its shape and colour and which collects in the hollows in the form of sugar. Ideally suited as decorative sand, if there is still room in the backpack. The highlight of this stage awaits us at Passo Predelp, when we get an insight into the Valle Leventina.

Along the pass road and on the signposted hiking trail (green Klerber "Gotthard Tunnel Trail") we hike south to the Casaccia plain. Here we cross the river and continue our way eastwards, over the Alpe Lareccio to Lago di Cane. Here we continue southwards and ascend to Passo Predelp. This is followed by a steep descent to Predelp di Sopra and further with a small counter-ascent to Capanna Prodör.
