Beschreibung

The Heidi & Gigi trail can be tackled from both Arosa and Lenzerheide. The "LenzerHeidi" and the "Gigi vo Arosa" have been hand in hand since the opening of the Urdenbahn. Occasionally, the two also visit each other on foot and enjoy, in addition to wonderful views over mountain peaks and valleys, one or the other refreshment in the various restaurants along the way. Follow the connecting trail and fall in love with the unique landscape of Heidi & Gigi.

Geheimtipp

During a visit to the Hörnli hut you can indulge yourself culinary or enjoy the mountain panorama on one of the cozy deck chairs.

Sicherheitshinweis

Arosa strives to provide hikers with a well-developed and signposted hiking trail network. Please observe the rules and signage. Under Hiking Info you will find further helpful tips.

In winter, the section from Hörnli to Urdenfürggli and Urdenfürggli to Rothorn is not accessible on foot. (Here you can find the route in winter)

Ausrüstung

Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and something to drink are recommended.

Possible simplifications using the cable car:

Take the Arosa-Weisshorn gondola to the middle station and start the hike there
Take the Hörnli-Express to the Hörnli and start the hike there
Float with the Urdenbahn from Arosa to Lenzerheide and save the section through the Urden valley
Take the cable car from Parpaner Rothorn to Scharmoin or directly to Lenzerheide.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

The Rhaetian Railway runs hourly from Chur to Arosa. From Arosa station you can take the local bus to Prätschli, where the hike starts. At the end of the hike you can take the post bus in Lenzerheide to comfortably travel back to Chur. Since the start and end of the route are at different places, we recommend travelling by public transport.

Anreise Information

Follow the signposts from Chur to Arosa. At the beginning of the village, turn right at the petrol station and follow the road to Prätschli.

Parken

At the entrance to the village there is a large signposting with the various parking options. At Prätschli, the starting point of the hike, limited parking spaces are available. Alternatively you can park in the Ochsenbühl car park and take the local bus to the start point of the hike.
