Beschreibung

The power place Amden is left on the Walsaweg No. 68, which leads back down towards Walensee. At Hinterbetlis you then go left. At the end of the hamlet of Betlis, several highlights await you: To the right side is the betlis chapel in the most beautiful panoramic position, to the left the path branches off to the Seerenbach Falls. This short detour is fascinating, as it leads to a viewing platform where both the Seerenbach Falls and the Rin Spring can be admired. The Seerenbach Falls plunge 600 meters into the depth in three stages, with the middle stage being considered one of the highest waterfalls in Switzerland. The Rin spring comes out of the rock face a little to the right of it and is the outflow of an underground river system. These waterfalls are most impressive in spring, when the most water comes. Back on the hiking trail, the deep ravine of the Seerenbach is crossed on a narrow footbridge, then the hiking trail leads up through the Seerenwald, with ever-changing views of the Walensee and the opposite shore. After about 30 minutes, the hiking trail branches off to the right and sometimes leads a bit steeply over a rock band, back down to the lake shore. Through vineyards it now goes comfortably on to Quinten. The well-known wine village of Quinten has a special climate thanks to its southern exposure, even figs and lemons thrive here. Two restaurants are waiting for the visitor, as well as a boat trip, which takes you comfortably to the other side of lake Walen.

Once in Murg, follow the Walsaweg. Slightly uphill, the route runs through the village of Quarten to Oberterzen. The Churfirsten, which protrude steeply on the other side of the Walensee, are particularly impressive to look at from here. In Oberterzen you climb into the panoramic gondola to Flumserberg and can look down on today's daily route again from above.

The second overnight stay takes place in the popular ski and hiking area Flumserberg.

Geheimtipp

A short detour to the shore of Lake Walen is definitely worth it with breathtaking views of the Churfirsten.

Ausrüstung
